The Everest region is to be found in the north-east of Nepal. A walk all the way through the mid-hills of Solukhumbu to the lofty elevations of Khumbu to the foot of Mt. Everest (8,848m), the world’s tallest peak is a superb opportunity you can get during the Everest Region Trek. The region holds two other eight thousand meter peaks- Cho Oyu and Lotse plus a number of other well known peaks above 6,000m.
One of the most popular treks in reaching Everest Base Camp; the breathtaking mountain trail will infact take us to the world famous Sherpa settlement where you will see the culture of bright prayer flags, the appealing Namche Bazzar, pass by the Sagarmatha National Park. Also, the most appealing part of the trek is reaching the highest view point- Kala Patthar lying at 5550m. Likewise, Everest Classic Trek is the idyllic option in Everest region to stand at the base of the grand peak views and the fabulous natural exquisiteness of Everest Region. Actually, Everest classic Trek will let you go by the wonderful climbs and makes way downward through alpine jungles and lush plain area.
Besides, with Everest Panorama Trek, you will get to observe panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Lotse, Amadablam, Kwangde, Thamserku, etc. More notably, Khumjung monastery visit will turn our trek worthwhile. Besides, we will also walk to Tengboche (3,850m), a well-liked Tibetan Buddhist monastery where we can meet Buddhist monks and view their every day rites in monastery. Additionally, Gokyo valley Trek in Everest region will equally allure you. The tiny community of Gokyo (4,750m) is positioned on the shore of the lake in a sequence of small turquoise mountain lakes. Also, the walk will let us observe fabulous mountain panorama of peaks having height above 6000m which are noticeable from Gokyo Ri (5,483) higher than Gokyo Lake and you will allure you through different other options of trekking.
Day 1 | Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrival and pick up from airport/ transfer hotel/ introduction with guides etc/ briefing about the trip / overnight hotel. |
Day 2 | Kathmandu-Lukla (40min flight) - Phakding; 3-4
hour trek (Trekking times only; stops not included)

Day 3 | Phakding-Namche Bazaar: 5-6 hrs

The trail crosses Dudhkoshi River/ long suspension bridge / along the river to Hilary’s Suspension Bridge/ trail climbs further from here to Namche Bazzar. |
Day 4 | Namche Bazaar: Rest day
Rest day taken for the acclimatization / day hike to Thame / or visit to Khunde or relaxing and exploring Namche Bazzar/ overnight Namche Bazzar. |
Day 5 | Namche Bazaar- Tsyangboche: 6-7 hour

Start / climbing to Syangboche airstrip / just above the airstrip is the Everest View Hotel, a Japanese scheme to build a deluxe hotel / great mountain views. Trail descends slightly to Dudhkoshi 3250m/ steep ascent to the famous Tengboche Gompa/ stunning background of Amadablam, Mt. Everest and other peaks. Overnight at Tsyangboche. |
Day 6 | Tengboche - Dingboche: 5-6 hour
Slight descent early today / lush forest / gradual climb up to the valleys highest year around settlement of Pangboche (3,860m/ 12,664ft). Continue ascending in the afternoon / alpine meadows and yak herds / eventually reaching Dingboche. Overnight at Dingboche. |
Day 7 | Dingboche - Lobuche: 5-6 hour
Today is the climb to Duglha (4,620m / 15,158ft). Stunning views of Tawachee and Cholatse (6,440m) / trail goes up to Khumbu Glacier for an hour then left into the memorial area before reaching the village of Lobuche (4,930m / 12,894ft). By this stage effects of the altitude will be kicking in and you can expect colder nights. Overnight at Lobuche. |
Day 8 | Lobuche - Everest Base Camp – Gorakh shep 5-6

The trail continues climb to Gorakh Shep / then to the Everest Base Camp 5357m / 18,192ft; small peak / best views of Mt. Everest, Pumori and Ama Dablam without climbing / return to Lobuche (4930m / 12894 ft) / overnight at Lobuche. |
Day 9 | Gorakh shep - Kalapatthar-Lobuche: 5-6
hour
Early morning hike to Kalapatthar / takes a couple of hours to walk up to the famous viewing point of Kalapatthar (Black Rock) 5,545m / 18,192ft; small peak / best views of Mt.Everest Pumori and Ama Dablam without climbing / return to Lobuche (4930m /12894ft). Overnight at Lobuche. |
Day 10 | Lubuche - Pangboche: 5-6
Retrace highway back / lunch at Pheriche / trek ends at Pangboche (3, 860m/ 12664ft) / bank of Imja Khola. Overnight at Pangboche. |
Day 11 | Pangboche – Namche Bazaar: 5-6 hour
Retrace / same way back / stopping at Tengboche. During the November-December full moon the colorful Mani Rimdu festival is held here with much singing and dancing / overnight at Namche Bazaar (3400m /11,286ft). |
Day 12 | Namche Bazzar – Lukla: 5-6 hour
Today the trail steeply descends to the Hillary Suspension Bridge and then continues on an easy natural trail. And finally today the trail will lead you back to Lukla (2,800m/ 9,186ft). On arrival in Lukla you will have time to relax, stretch those sore legs and celebrate the completion of your trek. Overnight at Lukla. |
Day 13 | Lukla – Kathmandu
Early morning flight to Kathmandu / received from domestic airport / transfer to your hotel / rest of day leisure or sightseeing Kathmandu. |
Day 14 |
Transfer to airport for flight to onward destination. |
