Jomsom Trek is one of the popular classic treks in the Mustang area that holds the world’s deepest ravine of the Kali Gandaki River.  Also, the trek will appeal you with the superb peaks of Annapurna-I as well as Dhaulagiri which exceeds the height of 8000m. You will get the chance to explore the caves, old monastery, meet with local tribes and picturesque scenes of the diverse landscapes. You will pass by almost barren setting, a steep rock-strewn path moving up and down hill and fascinating views of Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and a number of other peaks.

The maximum altitude of the trek is 3800m and anyone from any age group with a fair level of fitness can choose to go for Jomsom trek. You will ascend through rice terraces and pass through villages occupied by the local people, typically the Gurungs. As soon as you reach in Tatopani, you can relax in natural hot springs. The magnificence of the Dhaulagiri Glacier comes into view walking further up next to the first sight of the breezy Tibetan raised ground before reaching to the sacred site of Muktinath lying at 3800m. The holy temple includes 108 taps and mystifying natural gas that glows fire eternally.

Jomsom Trek actually attracts large number trekkers annually. It is also amongst the areas with first-rate lodges to stay overnight. The scenery and way of life here are best part to see and you can stay away from the high altitude sickness with proper acclimatization days and still enjoy fine weather and views.

Day 1

Arrival in Kathmandu/ Welcome from the airport / transfer to hotel / introduction program and briefing about the trip / overnight Kathmandu.

Day 2

A full day’s sightseeing of the Kathmandu Valley to include all important heritage sites / Afternoon pre-trip discussion regarding the trek /overnight Kathmandu.

Day 3

Drive by luxury bus to Pokhara / beautiful scenery along / approx 6 hours / transfer hotel / exploration around / overnight Pokhara.

Day 4

An early fly to Jomsom 2710m / approx 25 – 30 minutes flights / trek to Kagbeni 2750m/ approx 3:30 hours / overnight Kagbeni.

Day 5

Trek to Muktinath 3802m / approx 5 hours / overnight Muktinath.

Day 6

Trek to Marpha 2670m / approx 6 hours / overnight Marpha.

Day 7

Trek to Ghasa 2010m / approx 6 hours / overnight Ghasa.

Day 8

Trek to Tatopani (Natural hot spring) 1190m / approx 6 hours / overnight Tatopani.

Day 9

Trek to Shikha 1935m / approx 5 hours / overnight Shikha.

Day 10

Trek to Ghorepani 2860m / approx 4:30 hours / overnight Ghorepani.

Day 11

Early morning hike Poon Hill 3210m / magnificent Himalayan sunrise views / views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre and others / trek to Tadapani 2520m / approx 6:30 hours / overnight Tadapani.

Day 12

Trek to Ghandruk 1950m / approx 3 hours / overnight Ghandruk.

Day 13

Trek to Nayapul / approx 5 hours / approx one our drive by car to Pokhara / transfer hotel / overnight Pokhara.

Day 14

Free day Pokhara / sightseeing exploration around / overnight Pokhara.

Day 15

Drive to Kathmandu / transfer hotel / overnight Kathmandu.

Day 16

Transfer to airport / fly back home or onward destination.
