Being the origination source of Indus river, Sutlej river, Brahmaputra river and Karnali river, Mt. Kailash truly receives worldwide attention from the believers of Tibetan Buddhism, Bonpo, Hinduism and Jainism. Historically believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva and his wife Parvati, Mt. Kailash is a consecrated religious site where no human is allowed to step in. For that reason, it has never been summited or climbed and additionally has been able to keep its environment pollution free away from human influences of the modern-day societies. From the religious devotes of Hinduism to Buddhism, Mt. Kailash sits at a very high position of religious virtue. Not just that but the eternal beauty of the mountain itself tends to allure pilgrims ever closer with each moment they get near to it. Even though reaching the site of Mt. Similarly, Lake Mansarovar otherwise known as Anotatta or Anavatapta, is another most special place near Mt. Kailash majorly due to its stunning natural beauty and grandeur. Even though the shadows of the Mt. Kailash don’t bestow upon the lake itself, it still is described to be one of the purest fresh water lakes in the world. Having said that, it has the shape of a pear with the widest part being 26 km long. Upon reaching the lake one can see that the lake water is crystal clean and radiance blue under the brightness of the sunlight. As Lake Mansarovar is considered to be a divine place together with Mt. Kailash, Lake Mansarovar allures thousands of people who come there to pray and meditate. Some even take a dip in its holy pure water and later say prayers to cleanse their soul.
